Busy summer… preparing the pilot implementation of SavingFood
The SavingFood team was working hard during the summer period to prepare the ground for the pilot implementation of the project. Wireframes of the first version of the platform are ready and the technical development is ongoing in order to be ready for the first test with a limited number of users in October.
As the first real life testing of the SavingFood system is coming soon, we have entered an exciting period. The user requirements that were gathered by various workshops and consultations during spring are now being realised by the technical team. IT Innovation and iMinds are now working hard to finish the first version of the platform after having agreed the implementation steps and appropriate functions based on the agile development method.
First version wireframes were presented and discussed with pilot partners in July. Wireframes are meant to demonstrate the navigation and most of the platform’s features. After having finalised the high level processes and screens developers are now able to define features on a lower level.
At the same time, preliminary work to design the behavioural change strategy has been conducted and an online survey to report people’s behaviour towards food waste is ready to start.
Although the summer period turned down the progress of our work… as SavingFood people also like Holidays ☺, we are now ready to intensify our efforts and we feel excited to kick off the initial pilot implementation phase in October!
